Patent is exclusive rights granted by a state (national government) to an inventor for the public disclosure of an invention.

The procedure for granting patents, the requirements placed on the patentee, according to Slovenian laws and international agreements.

PATware provides services of preparing and writing patent application including claims.

The protection conferred by the Slovenian patent is limited to 20 years as from the date of filing the application.

REQUIREMENTS FOR FILLING SLOVENIAN PATENT

  1. Power of Attorney (no legalization required).
  2. Specification and claims to be translated.
  3. Abstract of maximum 250 words or 150 words if with drawing.
  4. Three sets of formal drawings (A4), clear black lines on white paper, minimum top margin 2.5 cm, left 2.5 cm, right 1.5 cm, bottom 1 cm.
  5. Priority document, if any. Translation to be submitted if requested by the Patent Office (if in English or German or translated into one of these languages, it is usually accepted without translation).
  6. If the priority application was filed by another applicant, the present Applicant must sign a declaration explaining his right to file in Slovenia.
